William Shakespeare was baptised in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, on April 26, 1564. April 23, 1564 is the day that nearly lead to be his birthday, save there are no records that define what day he was born. His father, John Shakespeare, was a whittawer by vocation and held several important town offices. His mother, Mary Arden, was from a plumb wealthy family.
